Position: VISITING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - GEOGRAPHY

Description: The Department of Geography invites applications for a visiting assistant professor beginning Fall 2006. The appointment period 
is one academic year. All thematic specialties in geography will be considered but experience with fieldwork is required as the successful 
candidate will teach field method courses. Ability to teach introductory GIS is desirable.
 
Other:   A Ph.D. or ABD in Geography or closely related field is required. Field method courses are oriented to the use of GPS and other 
field-based technology used in geographic research. A commitment to excellence in teaching and a developing research program are expected.

Position: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, THEATRE HISTORY

Description: Oklahoma State University seeks qualified applicants for a tenure track assistant professor position in theatre history. Responsibilities include: 
Supervise and lecture in multi-section in Introduction to the Theatre course, teaching undergraduate courses in theatre history, graduate level courses in 
dramatic theory and criticism; supervise  MA theses. Possible dramaturgy or other creative assignments dependant on background and interest.
Other: Ph.D. and evidence of college teaching experience required. Salary will be commensurate with experience (9 month appointment).

Position: ASSISTANT PROFESSOR - PROTEIN BIOCHEMISTRY/BIOPHYSICS

Description: The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Oklahoma State University invites applications for an eleven-month tenure 
track positions at the rank of assistant professor position beginning as early as Spring 2006. Incumbent will be expected to establish a 
high quality research program in protein biochemistry/biophysics and maintain an externally funded research program. Although the position is 
80% research, the candidate is expected teach and mentor graduate and undergraduate students in the study of biochemistry. 
Other: Candidates must have a Ph.D. in biochemistry or a closely related discipline and significant postdoctoral research experience. 
Experience and publications in the area of protein structure-function; strong background in biochemistry, biophysics or structural biology. 
Preference will be given to individuals who can interact with investigators interested in molecular mechanisms or animal and plant disease stress 
response. Evidence of potential for participation in the research and teaching functions at the undergraduate and graduate level in a Department 
of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Evidence of potential to establish an independent, extramurally funded research program. Demonstrated 
ability to plan, execute, and interpret innovative research. Demonstrated ability to communicate and teach clearly. Willingness to cooperate

Chemical Engineering seeks outstanding candidates for a tenure track assistant professor position. OSU has research strengths in colloidal particle 
systems, vapor phase particle generation, carbon nanotubes, biomaterials, and sensors, and opportunities in catalysis. We seek candidates who 
will contribute synergistic strengths to these areas.

Description: The Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at Oklahoma State University invites applications for an Assistant 
Professor position beginning August 2006. We are seeking individuals addressing fundamental research problems in the areas of molecular microbial 
pathogenesis or molecular microbial ecology. Competitive startup funds and laboratory space are available. These are 9-month, tenure-track 
appointments with 60%R research, 30% teaching, and 10% service responsibilities. 

Other: The candidate must have a Ph.D. or equivalent and productive postdoctoral experience showing potential for developing and sustaining an
